Introducing Tantra, Lead Carbon Originator

Join us in welcoming our latest team member Tantra, who has joined us as  Lead Carbon Originator.  With over a decade of experience in sustainability and project origination, Tantra will be responsible for developing the frameworks of our upcoming project pipeline.

Tantra drives 360green’s carbon origination process. His expertise includes developing carbon projects and their project descriptions for the carbon registries, coordinating with the ground team, and developing the carbon management plan.

Tantra previously led teams in navigating the processes of carbon trading and determining the standards of projects to meet with requirements of buyers. His past experience with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur, an Indonesian Special Mission Vehicle of the Ministry of Finance, Tantra worked with the Lead Origination team on green financing and had the responsibility of evaluating the financing process on climate projects including renewable energy, green infrastructure, and carbon emission and reduction. The projects collaborated with a private international bank on project syndication and a multilateral engagement including:

  • The World Bank on GREM and GEUDP project on the geothermal development

  • Green Climate Fund support project on the green investment in the transportation sector 

  • Asian Development Bank on Green Finance Facility (GFF) on the development of renewable energy projects, and climate adaptation and mitigation   

  • Agence Francaise de Development (AFD) on the green facilities on renewable energy 

  • KFW on Green Facility for development of the green infrastructure

  • Bloomberg philanthropy on the mangrove restoration project

With Golden-Agri Resources, a subsidiary of the Sinarmas Group of companies, Tantra led the team to navigate voluntary High Carbon Stock (HCS) Forests in engaging with commitments to reduce the impact of climate change and deforestation. It was also as a part of compliance to come on European Market standard on the Crude Palm Oil trading. The projects were developed to rehabilitate the remaining conservation areas in becoming HCS to serve commitment to sustainability and developing standards of conservation management for the Palm Oil market. The project also enforced the rules of the local community, government, and NGO to collaborate on developing integrated management in the conservation area, including restoration of the unique ecosystem on degraded lands.
